Volunteer Judges Needed for Student Paper Awards

 

Hello CSEE members, CBA members, and others attending CSEE-CBA 2023,

 

The Student Awards Team of the CSEE-CBA 2023 Local Organizing Committee (LOC) would like your help as an abstract screener and/or judge for the CSEE student awards for podium talks (12-minute) and posters, and for the joint CSEE-CBA student awards for lightning talks (4-minute) at the upcoming CSEE & CBA Joint Annual Meeting. (fyi: CBA will handle student paper awards for CBA podium talks and posters.)

 

Anyone who is not a current student is eligible to screen abstracts or be a judge at the conference. Individuals are needed to judge podium talks, lightning talks, and posters.

 

If you are willing to screen abstracts between March 6 and April 15 or serve as a judge during the meeting (June 12-14), please use the following link to let us know your interest (you do not need to be available for all of that time!): https://forms.gle/dDv8tDP3dTd4ePom8

 

We hope to recruit enough volunteers to limit the workload to screening a maximum of 20 abstracts or judging about 8 podium talks, lightning talks, or posters per individual judge. Criteria for abstract screening will be provided, and judges will participate in a short orientation session at the beginning of the conference.

 

Student awards represent an important way in which we recognize the exceptional work done by student members of our two societies. We encourage you to volunteer for this initiative, since your participation makes these awards possible.
